1. Be assiduous in prayer (Col. 4:2), at the hours and times appointed. Pray the Breviary reverently and in communion with one another and sing the Salve with Joy. 2. In the Oratory/Chapel no one should do anything other than that for which was intended and from which it also takes its name. Consequently, if there are some who might wish to pray there during their free time, even outside the hours appointed, they should not be hindered by those who think something else must be done there, unless this is done from a motive of avoiding work and other obligations. 3. When you pray to God in Psalms and hymns, think over in your hearts the words that come from your lips. 4. Chant only what is prescribed for chant; moreover, let nothing be chanted unless it is so prescribed. 4b. Where possible the Office is chanted or sung. On Sundays and Holy Feast days this is obligatory Stand for introductory prayers, Antiphons, Pater Noster, Benedictus, Magnificat, Nunc Dimitus, the Salve and concluding prayers. Kneel for MSIHM prayers and the great Ave. Sit for Psalms. In all, due reverence is proscribed and absolute respect for the Blessed Sacrament and the Minister/s thereof |
