Institution. We recieved recognition from Maribyrnong City Council
in 2006 and are listed as a counselling and support agency in the
councils directorywww.maribyrnong.vic.gov.au
Mission
The Immaculate Heart Community is an abstinence based, residential
and therapeutic Community, for those addicted to drugs and wish
to be free of them. We provide an environment conducive to building
a new life. Stage 1 is in Magdalen House which provides residential
peer support in a suburban House.
Structure The Community, stage 2, will be on land adequate to run a self-sufficient
farm and house up to 60 men.
Br Creos Mary Roman MSIHM will be the principal Guardian
with a host of Brother Angels within the Community, Bishop Anthony
Fisher OP has been, up until his Episcopal ordination in Sydney,
the Community's Chaplain and Creos' spiritual Director. We are at
present seeking a new chaplain
The Immaculate Heart Community in Maidstone (stage
1) is looking for men who no longer use drugs, with a desire for
the Catholic Faith, who want to support each other in a drug free
Christian life. Some of us will be preparing to be mentors for the
Immaculate Heart Community on a farm (stage 2) and become a brother
in the 'Magdalen Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary'.
